Twitterville.... aren't you a villager yet?

If you click here, you'll get to read Twitter messages (mine are here) that'll provide you with information on activities and events, mundane or otherwise, occurring right now around the globe by members of this social network. This information may be useful (example would be conference details of another session that you are may have missed because you were in a concurrent session or a natural disaster that may potentially affect your business' supply chain) or a way to keep in touch with your friends across the globe. Its a microblog useful for summaries of bloggers that blog about events. I do live blogging of sessions I attend for example and those who are interested in these sessions but may not be able to attend for one reason or another can eparticipate through the live blogging. I've even fielded questions from readers to the speakers at conferences that way. Then there's mashups of tools that uses Twitter feeds, if you're on Facebook for example your status changes as you update your twitter status so you don't have to do this twice. It mashes up with iPhone apps geolocator so you can post exactly where you're at, good for businesses who have one day sales or those who'd like to meet face-to-face with their readers like politicians, for example.
