Transformative leadership and your forecasting strategy

As leaders, we forecast, we provide direction, interpret existing data and determine our organisation's future, we are visionaries. But how many times have we seen comments about the future that in hindsight were off the mark. Comments like “640K ought to be enough for anybody.” Bill Gates in 1981 or if we go further, remember “We don’t like their sound, and guitar music is on the way out.” Decca Recording Co. rejecting the Beatles, 1962.

One strategy so you don't fall into people losing trust in you because of a previous comment is what Bill Gates have done: initiate transformative leadership.
