Weekends are a perfect opportunity to relax, enjoy, revitalize your thoughts, smell the roses, and instill a sense of balance between your work and your personal life. I used to think that if I am sitting casually at a coffee shop and staring at people walking I would be wasting my time and not being productive. In reality, it is a way for my brain to just be calm and somehow that helps in focusing when needed.
So after decades in this business, the drive to success is not going to be exciting or fulfilling if not for the wonderful breaks we have along the way to enjoy with our families and friends; at least that's my experience as well as those of my colleagues.
As I mentor new entrepreneurs, I have a term for this when I share with them the need for balance- I call it micro-vacations. If you continuously focus on just work, sooner or later, it will catch up on you - this is business 101. Balance is a real key for longevity not just in business but also in life.
