I send out regular quotable quotes to a group of colleagues. The quotes are not just from my toolbox but also gather these from the very group who receive it regularly as well. That way there is shared experience and recipients get to know more about each other. I was entrusted with this from a manager who left the organisation I'm connected with. Colleagues say that they find the quotes amusing, enlightening, inspirational, thought-provoking, and uplifting. The quotes come from famous people, celebrities, authors, figures in their respective industries. I find that it provides a perspective to the bigger picture. As such it is important to share this tip to managers who are looking for a quick hit to kick off their team's day. Leaders use different styles of managing their team as a whole and individuals and as they flex their management approaches, this is one option for them to consider.
